IAIIEA To Host 7th Annual Conference In Abuja

The International Association for Innovations in Educational Assessment (IAIIEA) is set to hold its 7th annual conference in Abuja, Nigeria, from November 5th to 8th, 2024. The event, themed “Transforming Learning and Assessment Through Application of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence,” aims to explore innovative solutions in educational assessment to enhance the quality of education globally.

In a statement by Dr. Mike Egbayelo, Chairman of the Publicity Committee, the conference will feature addresses from prominent figures in the educational sector. Keynote speakers include Professor Hong Jiao from the University of Maryland, USA; Professor Alper Sahim from Atilim University, Turkey; and Dr. Nathan Thompson from the University of Minnesota, USA. The lead speaker will be Tatiana Sango from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

The event will also include facilitators such as Professor Christian Igomu Amuche from Taraba State University, Dr. Jumoke Iyabode Oladele from the University of Ilorin, and IAIIEA President Dr. Akinyele O. Ariyo. Dr. Hamid Bobboyi, Executive Director of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), will host the conference at the UBEC Digital Resource Centre in Mabushi, Abuja.

The four-day conference will be conducted in both virtual and in-person formats, allowing for broader participation. The IAIIEA is renowned for its contributions to innovative educational assessment, with extensive research, training, and publications in big data, educational assessment innovations, and educational technology.
