TCM Endorses Atiku/Obi Ticket For 2027 Presidential Election
Lagos, Nigeria

By Frank Odinukaeze

The Collective Movement (TCM), a prominent socio-political group, has expressed strong support for a potential Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi presidential ticket in the 2027 general elections. This endorsement follows Mr. Peter Obi’s recent statement indicating his willingness to collaborate with others, provided their intentions align with national progress rather than state capture.

High Chief Franklin Ekechukwu, the founder of TCM, praised Obi’s stance, describing it as a significant step towards addressing Nigeria’s economic crisis. Ekechukwu emphasized that an Atiku/Obi combination would offer Nigerians a clear choice in 2027: to either maintain the status quo or build a better future with visionary leadership.

Since the 2023 general elections, Nigeria has faced numerous economic, social, and political challenges, with no immediate solutions in sight. Ekechukwu, speaking through TCM’s Director of Media, Mazi Edwin Nwachukwu, highlighted Obi’s commitment to partnering with like-minded individuals to advance Nigeria’s progress. This approach, he noted, underscores Obi’s dedication to prioritizing the country’s interests over personal ambition.

Ekechukwu further stated that Obi’s readiness to focus on the nation’s pressing issues, such as hunger, poverty, and insecurity, demonstrates his humility and love for Nigeria. He asserted that Atiku Abubakar is the only candidate who meets Obi’s criteria for partnership, describing Atiku as a national treasure, experienced leader, and unifier.

“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is accepted across the board, a nation builder, and the only candidate who can unite Nigeria,” Ekechukwu said. “He loves education and has awarded thousands of scholarships to individuals regardless of tribe, state of origin, or religion. He understands the difference between being poor and being rich because he has experienced both.

Ekechukwu urged Obi to consider merging with Atiku to renew their “dream ticket,” which he believes defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019. He expressed confidence that an Atiku/Obi alliance is the only force capable of removing the APC from power in 2027 and returning it to the people.

“Having you as our Vice President puts our future on a clear path for a credible successor and victory in successive elections,
“Sir, you witnessed the backlash against that decision from the elite members of the party against His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, but he stood his ground.
“As you also know, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a man of principle who believes in the rule of law and a democratic Nigeria.
He will ensure that the right person takes responsibility from him, serving with him as Vice President there is no other person Nigerians will know if not you, that by itself will secure the better future of Nigeria.

‘’We urge you, sir, to believe in the future of Nigeria and run with His Excellency to rescue the country.

“The need to rescue the country cannot be overemphasized, and having two capable hands at the helm of affairs will not hurt the country but make it better.”Elochukwu stated

The group founder noted that Obi’s recent comment is commendable as a leader, it shows he’s more interested in making a positive impact than seeking power for its own sake.

According to Ekechukwu, Obi’s comment suggests that he is open to collaboration and willing to support someone who shares his vision for a better future, for every Nigerian, and the unborn generation, who else shares same vision if not His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.

Obi maintained that he is not desperate to become president, but is determined to see Nigeria work.

He restated that he is not desperate for any position, saying “I believe I can make contributions as I am already doing without occupying any. When 2027 arrives, if I decide to run for any office, it will not be with those whose sole aim is state capture or merely winning an election.

“I want them to explain how we will ensure that no child is left behind and how we will bring millions of out-of-school children back into classrooms, ensure healthy living, and pull people out of poverty.’’

In all these conditions above there is only one man who had met and still lifting the poor and downtrodden, and that man is Atiku Abubakar.
The TCM’s endorsement of the Atiku/Obi ticket reflects a growing sentiment among Nigerians seeking transformative leadership to address the nation’s ongoing challenges.
