TIN CAN COMMAND POSTS ANOTHER STRONG PERFORMANCE, GENERATES ₦154.3 BILLION IN OCTOBER

The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded yet another major revenue milestone, generating a total of ₦154.3 billion in October 2025. The figure represents the Command’s second-highest monthly revenue in its history.
The latest performance continues the impressive run under the leadership of Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka, whose strategic focus and administrative reforms have been widely acknowledged within the maritime sector. According to data released by the Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Oscar Ivara, the Command collected ₦154,384,834,050.93 during the month under review.
This achievement comes just two months after the Command posted its all-time highest revenue of ₦159 billion in August 2025—a record Comptroller Onyeka attributed to the successful deployment of the Unified Customs Management System, popularly known as the B’Odogwu software platform.
The indigenous trade facilitation tool, he said earlier, has significantly strengthened operational efficiency, closed leakages, and enhanced overall revenue performance.
Comptroller Onyeka has consistently praised the commitment and professionalism of officers and men of the Command, while acknowledging the cooperation of stakeholders whose collaboration has contributed to sustained growth. He has also lauded the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, whose support and recognition have further motivated the Tin Can workforce.
The Command’s adherence to the service-wide policy of collaboration, consolidation, and innovation continues to reinforce its operational success, positioning Tin Can Island Port as a key driver of national revenue and trade facilitation in 2025.
