Senator Tokunbo Abiru Delivers New Classrooms, Health Centres In Epe — Commissions 12 Boreholes Across Lagos East

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has continued his drive for grassroots development with the commissioning of major community projects in Ikosi-Ejinrin and Eredo Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Epe Division, Lagos State.
The projects, officially handed over to the benefiting communities, include a renovated and fully equipped Ado-Ikosi Primary Health Centre in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, a newly constructed Primary Health Centre at Kula Nla, Odomola in Eredo LCDA, and a fully furnished block of classrooms at RCM Primary School, Ejinrin.
In addition, twelve (12) completed motorized boreholes were unveiled across various locations in the senatorial district, providing residents with easier access to clean water.
Represented by his Special Assistant, Mr. Dele Abiru, and the Executive Director, Customer Centricity & Marketing, Galaxy Backbone Limited, Hon. Olusegun Olulade (Eleniyan), Senator Abiru reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented representation anchored on education, healthcare, and sustainable community development.
“At Ado-Ikosi and Kula-Nla, residents now have better access to quality healthcare, while at Ejinrin, pupils can learn in a more conducive environment,” he said.
The commissioning ceremonies were performed on behalf of the lawmaker by Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, and Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA. Both commended Senator Abiru for his developmental strides and consistency in delivering dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
“Today’s project is yet another testament to his developmental philosophy — the greater good for the greater number — that governance must translate into real and measurable progress in people’s lives,” said Hon. Anomo.
Similarly, Hon. Akinloye lauded Senator Abiru’s inclusive leadership style, noting that every part of the district has benefited from his interventions in education, healthcare, and empowerment.
At RCM Primary School, Ejinrin, pupils and teachers expressed excitement over the new block of classrooms, describing it as a “dream come true” that will enhance learning outcomes. The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority, Epe, Hon. Shittu Aliu Idowu, who conveyed the goodwill message of Dr. Hakeem Shittu, Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), also commended Senator Abiru for his contributions to education in the district.
At Kula Nla, Odomola, where a new Primary Health Centre was inaugurated, the Omola of Odomola, HRM Oba Sulaimon Adebowale, expressed deep gratitude for the life-enhancing facility, describing it as “a major relief and blessing” to the community.
Since his election to the Senate, Senator Abiru has facilitated several community-based projects across Lagos East, spanning education, healthcare, sports, youth empowerment, and water supply. His “Doing Good” mantra continues to shape his people-centered approach to governance.

Olufunke Street Junction, Majidun; 116 Ajaguro Road, Imota; 6 Arobadade Street, Ilaje; Liadi Village; Dawodu Street off Basorun Street, Igbogbo; Igbe-Ogunro Palace; beside Deditex Petrol Station along Ikorodu-Itoikin Road, Agbowa Ikosi; Ita Agbodo Community, Isele 1; Federal Government Estate (Sedona) opposite Fashola Estate, Baiyeku; Oreta Last Bus Stop, Igbogbo; Main Gate, Igbo-Oluwo Estate; and Fajemisin Street off Kokoro Abu, Sabo Ikorodu.
Dignitaries at the commissioning included High Chief Alli Yesiru, Olisa of Odomola; High Chief Tajudeen Lawal, Aro of Odomola; High Chief Adisa Adepase, the Agbon of Odomola; members of the Oloritun-in-Council; Hon. Abdulateef Adesanya, Vice Chairman, Eredo LCDA; Mr. Enitan Olukotun, Media Aide to Senator Abiru; Chief Adesina Idris Adesanya, Baale of Ado Ikosi; Dr. Sunday Orebiyi, Medical Officer of Health, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; Ms. Comfort Olafare, Legislative Assistant to the Senator; and Mr. Mahruf Odunare, Epe Liaison Representative, among others.
The events were characterized by jubilation and heartfelt appreciation from residents, who described Senator Abiru’s gesture as a clear demonstration of responsive and impactful leadership.
