Security Operatives Declare Gay Movement Leader Wanted, Trail Two others.

The law enforcement agents in Edo State have issued public notice, declaring Arhonwman Daniel Osula, Timothy Osarumwense, and Chika Daniel Ndobu as wanted individuals over homosexual activities in the state. While Osula was said to have escaped from police custody, Timothy Osarumwense and Chika Daniel Ndobu have been identified as key leaders of the U and Me Alliance Network (U-Man). This alleged gay movement operates in the South-South regions of Nigeria.
It was alleged that the men have been playing key roles in the running of the gay movement. It was also alleged, that several individuals arrested for gay-related activities were all said to have confessed their membership of the gay organization; whereas Arhonwman Daniel Osula, Timothy Osarumwense and Chika Daniel Ndobu are allegedly to be at the forefront of the movement, hence the security operative is leaving no stone unturned to apprehend them as the battle against same-sex affairs continues.
According to sources, most members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, and other sexual, gender, and bodily diverse people (LGBTIQ+ community) have rebranded their names, their mode of operations and activities to hide their heinous immoral crimes and true identity from the security agencies. Sources have revealed that the U and Me Alliance Network has international connections and foreign sponsors.
Recently, numerous netizens have expressed their approval of the arrest of Henry Imasuen, the suspected Vice President of the movement, along with his current partner, Arhonmwan Daniel Osula, who had been listed as wanted by the police. Imasuen and his former partner, Chika Daniel Ndobu, were first declared wanted in Okada Town following the incident on October 1, 2022, during which they allegedly attacked Mr Rueben Osayande, a professional cameraman. Osayande had recorded them engaging in sexual intercourse at a nightclub near Okada junction, prompting the police’s intervention.
Since then, the police have been in search of them before the recent arrest of Mr. Henry Imasuen and his newly confessed partner Arhonmwan Daniel Osula. They were said to have been arrested on the 27th October 2024 at a discreet hotel near the Igbuobazuwa Local Government Area of Edo State, where the duo had been hiding for several days. Two others, namely Rufus Idowu and Clinton Aideyan, who are members of the network group, were also reportedly arrested a few days later in another undisclosed hotel in Okada town
While Imasuen remains in custody, Osula reportedly managed to escape from custody under questionable circumstances when he was being transported to a hospital. He was said to have collapsed while in detention, a development attributed to the severe beating he suffered during a confrontation with the security operatives before he was eventually arrested.
Imasuen, on his part, it was gathered, has allegedly spent weeks in police custody, and is yet to be brought before a court. All efforts to secure his bail by their lawyer from the chambers of Dr. P. F. Awo-Osagie & Co have also allegedly proved abortive. A source in the police reportedly said the investigation is ongoing on his case, noting that releasing the suspect at this time could obstruct the thoroughness of the ongoing inquiries and jeopardize the overall integrity of the case
Imasuen has reportedly revealed that his former partner, Chika Daniel Mfon Ndobu, is a founding member of the gay movement. It has come to light that Ndobu is currently evading arrest following the tragic incident that occurred on October 1, 2022. On that day, chaos erupted at a festive party organized by the LGBTIQ+ community to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day when an unknown individual allegedly infiltrated the venue and began recording the events. This led to an attack on a person identified as Robison Osayande, and the incident was subsequently reported to the Okada Police Station. Since then, authorities have been searching for the event organizers, and reports indicate that Mr. Osayande captured footage of some attendees engaged in sexual activities throughout the night.
In an additional blow to the Vice President’s personal life, Chika’s ex-wife, Dorothy Ndobu reportedly revealed that she saw him in a compromising situation with her husband within the confines of their marital home, when interviewed by the police, a development that did not only shattered the trust between them but also acted as the catalyst for the disintegration of their marriage, after accusing him of the cause of their childless marriage. At the same time, they were unable to give birth since their marriage, leaving a trail of emotional upheaval in its wake and he was banned by his community from participating in any activities in his hometown in Agbor, Delta State. Since then, no one has sighted him as the security operatives are actively searching for his whereabouts.
Chika Daniel Ndobu, the former secretary of the U and Me Alliance Network from Agbor, who emerged as a key advocate for LGBTIQ+ rights through their recently established organization, prior to his disappearance from the public eye. As an estate agent and marketer, he has committed himself to fostering conversations and initiatives surrounding homosexuality and other societal issues often deemed immoral, utilizing his business endeavours to advance LGBTIQ+ rights.
Security operatives have considered his advocacy and activities significant enough to classify him as a wanted person. This situation highlights the intense ongoing tensions and complex legal challenges that surround LGBTIQ+ rights and activism in Nigeria, a country where such topics often provoke strong opposition and controversy. Nigeria has become an unfriendly place of abode for people with same-sex orientation, as homosexuality remains a criminal offence in Nigeria, and offenders face 14 years imprisonment for first offenders
As of the latest update, the suspects in this case remain in police custody while under investigation. Their attorney, led by Dr. P. F. Awo-Osagie has initiated legal proceedings by filing a formal petition that challenges the validity of their client’s ongoing detention. Meanwhile, the suspects family has voiced increasing concerns regarding the prolonged detention and inhuman treatment of their sons by the police
