The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has once again celebrated excellence, as Comptroller Musa Istifanus Datsok, a distinguished officer fondly described as a “gentle giant,” earned his elevation to the prestigious rank of Controller of Customs.
Hailing from Plateau State, Comptroller Datsok has carved a reputation as a smart, amiable, and highly professional officer. His career trajectory has seen him serve in key operational roles, including Officer-in-Charge of Gbaji while at the Seme Command, and later as Deputy Comptroller of Enforcement at the same frontier station.

In 2024, Datsok’s expertise and integrity earned him a posting to TinCan Island Customs Command, where he again served in the Enforcement unit as Deputy Comptroller. His steady rise and consistent track record of service have now culminated in his latest elevation.
The decoration, which took place recently , marks not just a personal milestone but also a recognition of the values he represents within the service—discipline, commitment, and leadership by example.
