NNPP Holds Strategic Stakeholders Assembly in Abuja

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is set to convene a crucial strategic stakeholders meeting in Abuja later this month. The assembly aims to address pressing internal matters that have been affecting the party.
NNPP National Secretary, Mr. Oginni Olaposi,in a statement on Sunday, emphasized that all party leaders and elders from across the country are expected to attend this pivotal gathering. The meeting will delve into critical issues that have shaped the 23- Year-old political party’s trajectory.
Among the key decisions to be made is the reinforcement of the expulsion of several prominent figures within the NNPP. Notably, the party seeks to uphold the expulsion of Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, Elder Buba Galadima, and the entire national working committee led by Dr. Ahmed Ajuji.
Mr Oginni underscored the significance of this assembly for the NNPP’s leadership. It serves as a platform to advance democracy and foster the party’s development in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
“All stakeholders and elders must actively participate,” urged Sunday. “Their personal commitment and capacity will greatly contribute to the meeting’s success.”Mr Oginin noted
The NNPP also issued a stern warning to elected members on its platform. Those who engage in anti-party activities risk severe consequences ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to the statement,Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State remains suspended until December, according to the NNPP’s decision.
The statement further noted that the party’s constitution, as outlined by the national secretary, holds supreme authority for all members, aligning with the grand norm of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The NNPP hopes that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), under the leadership of Prof. Mahmud Yakubu, will uphold internal democracy and support the growth and sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.
In a candid reflection, the National Secretary ,expressed regret over the actions of former presidential candidate Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Elder Buba Galadima. Their betrayal of trust, he asserted, is an avoidable shame for Nigeria, particularly Kano State. The NNPP believes that divine intervention prevented their potential betrayal had Kwankwaso won the presidential seat in 2023.
As the NNPP’s stakeholders assemble, the nation watches closely, anticipating the outcomes that will shape the party’s future.
