NAGAFF Expels Former Secretary General, Declares Him Persona Non Grata

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has made a decisive move by expelling Mr. Dipo Olayoku, the former Secretary General, and declaring him persona non grata. This announcement was made on Monday, April 22, 2024, after a joint session between NAGAFF’s national executive council and its board.
Mr. Olayoku’s expulsion is linked to his representation of NAGAFF at the National Working Committee of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), where he is accused of making unauthorized alterations to the party’s flag, logo, and constitution during what has been labeled an illegal convention. These actions have raised concerns within the party, leading to his current expulsion.
NAGAFF has expressed disappointment in Senator Kwankwaso for being misled by Mr. Olayoku, which has led to the alleged mutilation of the party’s constitution. The association urges Senator Kwankwaso’s legal team to consider the legal implications of these actions, which they equate to theft and conversion.
The association maintains that it holds the original certificate of registration for the NNPP, dating back to its inception in 2002, and insists that the majority of its members were part of the board at the time of registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The internal crisis within the NNPP has been deemed a family affair by a federal high court in Abuja. However, NAGAFF believes that the court should intervene to resolve the issue in line with the party’s constitution.
NAGAFF’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mazi Chidiebere Enelama,who issued the press statement on Monday,22 ,April,2024, thanked the president of NAGAFF, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, who doled out N50 million financial support towards legal services. The association also acknowledges Senator Kwankwaso’s contributions to the NNPP’s growth within Nigeria’s political landscape, while cautioning against the misuse of Kano State’s funds in litigation.
The association looks forward to Governor Abba Kabir’s leadership in promoting good governance in Nigeria, rather than allowing “unemployed characters” to sow discord for personal gain.
This expulsion marks a significant moment for NAGAFF and the NNPP as they navigate through this political and organizational challenge.
