MWUN Pays Tribute to Late Comrade Wasiu Keshinro

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Comrade Wasiu Keshinro, a dedicated and courageous member of the union. Comrade Keshinro passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, after a brief illness.
Comrade Keshinro was a stalwart in the Dockworkers Branch of MWUN, known for his resilience, loyalty, and exceptional dedication to his duties. He served as a Trustee at the National headquarters, where his diligence and commitment were widely recognized. His colleagues remember him as a humorous, soft-spoken individual who was always quick to smile and slow to anger.
Throughout his career, Comrade Keshinro was a beloved figure, admired for his outstanding qualities and his unwavering commitment to the maritime industry. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication, having been a thoroughbred maritimer whose contributions to the union were invaluable.
Comrade Keshinro is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. The MWUN extends its deepest condolences to his family, praying that the Almighty Allah grants them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
The President-General of MWUN, Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, fnli HFCPSP, along with the entire executive team, members, and staff of the union, will continue to honor Comrade Keshinro’s memory and the significant impact he made within the union. His absence will be deeply felt by his colleagues, friends, and subordinates.
“Fair thee well, Comrade Wasiu Keshinro. Your loyalty and dedication to the union will never be forgotten” the statement concluded.
