MWUN Extends Yuletide Greetings to Christians Worldwide

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, fnli, HFCPSP, has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians globally. The union celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, emphasizing His sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary for humanity’s redemption.

In his message, Prince Adeyanju urged Christians to reflect on the significance of Jesus’ birth and its benefits to mankind during this festive season. He highlighted that Christ is the essence of Christmas and encouraged Christians to emulate His virtues by showing kindness and love to all, regardless of tribe, descent, color, or religion. He emphasized that this season is an opportunity to demonstrate unwavering love, mercy, and forgiveness, mirroring the actions of Jesus during His time on earth.

As the President-General of MWUN and Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), as well as Vice President Global of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), Prince Adeyanju called on Christians to be more tolerant and supportive of one another. He stressed that Christianity symbolizes peace and urged believers to remain joyful while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Prince Adeyanju also reminded everyone that Christmas is a time for giving and sharing. He encouraged showing love and compassion to the less fortunate in society during the celebrations.

The union extended its goodwill to stakeholders in the maritime sector, including the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), Seaport Terminal Operators Association of Nigeria (STOAN), National Association of Stevedoring Operators (NASO), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), and Shipping Association of Nigeria (SAN). MWUN wished Christians and all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance
