MWUN Announces Partial Payment Of Salary Arrears By CRFFN

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has announced that the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has paid five months’ worth of outstanding salaries to its staff. This payment addresses part of the seven months of salary arrears owed to the employees.
In a statement today,MWUN expressed its gratitude to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Adegboyega Oyetola MON, for his pivotal role in resolving the salary arrears issue. The Union praised the Minister for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers in the maritime sector, highlighting his dedication and humane leadership.
MWUN also acknowledged the cooperation of the Acting Registrar of CRFFN in facilitating the payment of the five months’ salary arrears. However, the Union urged the CRFFN management to expedite the settlement of the remaining two months’ outstanding salaries.
The Union emphasized the importance of completing the payment process promptly and called on the Honourable Minister to continue supporting their efforts to ensure that the CRFFN fulfills its obligations to its staff.
