Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria Extends Nomination Form Submission Deadline

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, has announced a one-week extension for the submission of nomination forms for political office aspirants. The new deadline for submission is now March 10, 2025.

The initial deadline, which was set for March 3, 2025, has now passed. In response, the office of the Secretary-General has directed that all completed nomination forms be submitted by the new deadline.

The lifting of the ban on campaign activities for elective National Posts was previously announced by the Secretary-General’s office. This announcement opened the campaign window from February 3, 2025, to March 3, 2025, allowing prospective candidates to obtain, complete, and submit their nomination forms.

Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media for MWUN, e-signed the press release, confirming the extension and urging all aspirants to meet the new deadline.
