The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Adegboyega Saka Oyetola, on his 70th birthday. The Union, alongside family, friends, and well-wishers, celebrates the former Governor of Osun State for his significant contributions to the maritime sector.

Dr. Adeyanju praised Oyetola as a “silent achiever” whose extensive knowledge and innovative efforts have greatly benefited both employers and employees in the maritime industry. Since assuming his role in the newly established Marine and Blue Economy ministry, Oyetola has been instrumental in driving progress and development within the sector.

Highlighting Oyetola’s dedication, Dr. Adeyanju, who also serves as the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Vice President Global of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), recalled the Minister’s active involvement with various branches of the Union. Oyetola’s presence at the signing of the Shipping Branch NJIC for workers in the shipping sector exemplified his commitment to fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.

The Union commended Oyetola’s “workers-friendly” approach, which has brought peace and satisfaction to all stakeholders in the industry. As the pioneer Minister of the Marine and Blue Economy, his achievements have been widely recognized and appreciated.

On behalf of the entire MWUN executive team, Prince Adeyanju wished Minister Oyetola a joyous birthday, praying for his continued good health and prosperity.
