COWA Ogun I Command Donates Mosquito Nets, Bed Sheets To Hospitals In Idiroko

The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Ogun I Command Chapter, has extended a compassionate hand to the General Hospital, Idiroko, and the Nigeria Customs Service Medical Center, Idiroko, through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach aimed at improving healthcare delivery and patient welfare.
Led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Fausat Otunla, the association presented mosquito nets and 50 pieces of bed sheets to the General Hospital. The items were received by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kilanko Margaret, who, alongside her staff, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donations.
Dr. Kilanko described the gesture as timely, noting that it would significantly boost patient care. She also pledged the hospital’s support for medical outreach programs that would benefit COWA members and their families.
A representative of the antenatal patients, Mrs. Sodiq Ola, also
commended the initiative and prayed for the association’s continued success.
A press statement by Deputy Superintendent of Customs Z.Chado noted that inn a related visit ,the Customs Medical Center, Idiroko, also benefited from the goodwill of COWA as the association donated mosquito nets and customized bed sheets. The items were received on behalf of the medical staff by Superintendent of Customs (SC) Dr. Abdulmalik Zakariyyah, who lauded the effort and conveyed the appreciation of the medical team.
Speaking during the exercise, Mrs. Otunla stressed that the initiative reflects COWA’s commitment to community development and the welfare of families in Idiroko and beyond. “This CSR activity once again underscores the compassionate vision of COWA and its contribution to the health and welfare of communities,” she said.
The outreach is part of COWA’s ongoing drive to support healthcare institutions and enhance living standards, especially among women and children.
