The Customs Consultative Committee (CCC) has extended heartfelt commendation to the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) under the leadership of its National President for achieving a new era of peace and stability within the association.
In a letter addressed to the ANLCA leadership, the CCC acknowledged the remarkable progress made in implementing the Mutual Professional Peace Accord brokered by the committee in July 2023. This accord has paved the way for the resolution of internal disputes and strengthened the association’s unity.
The CCC particularly applauded key milestones achieved under the leadership’s tenure, including the successful conduct of national executive elections, the inauguration of newly elected national officers, the election of a new Board of Trustees, and the swearing-in of chapter executives. These actions were cited as a demonstration of the leadership’s dedication to democratic principles and the welfare of ANLCA members.
Highlighting the importance of sustaining this progress, the CCC outlined strategic advice for ANLCA’s continued success:
– Maintaining transparency and accountability to uphold unity within the association.
– Addressing industry challenges such as digital transformation and logistics competence, as discussed during the peace accord.
– Strengthening internal mechanisms for conflict resolution to prevent legal disputes.
– Building stronger collaborations with industry stakeholders, including the Nigeria Customs Service and other maritime entities.
“By embracing these principles, ANLCA can solidify its position as a leading professional organization in the maritime industry, promoting the interests of its members and contributing to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy” the CCC stated.
The letter which was signed by Chairman CCC ,Fwdr.Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju Rff ,the organisation expressed confidence that these efforts would solidify ANLCA’s standing as a prominent professional body in the maritime industry while contributing to Nigeria’s economic development.
The CCC congratulated the ANLCA leadership and reaffirmed its support for the association’s initiatives. The letter serves as both recognition of past achievements and a call to action for continued progress.
This acknowledgment underscores the pivotal role of leadership and collaboration in fostering growth and unity within professional associations.
