Wednesday,18 September,2024,marked a significant milestone as Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, a revered figure in Nigeria’s maritime industry, celebrated his 70th birthday. The celebrations, held in Lagos, were a testament to his enduring influence and contributions to the sector.

The event was graced by prominent figures from various sectors, including government officials, industry leaders, and members of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Members of New Nigerian People’s Party(NNPP), organizations Dr. Aniebonam founded.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and admiration as speakers highlighted his numerous achievements and unwavering dedication to the maritime industry.

Dr. Aniebonam, often referred to as the “Conscience of Nigeria’s Maritime Industry,” has been a pivotal figure in advocating for better policies and practices within the sector. His efforts have not only improved the efficiency of port operations but also fostered a culture of integrity and professionalism among freight forwarders.
In his opening remarks , President of NAGAFF,High Chief Tochhukwu Ezisi, said, “We are celebrating a man who if his name is not mentioned in any freight forwarding discussion in Nigeria, one has not started the discussion. He is such a great philanthropist that people still fall back to and he is still helping people to solve their problems, myself inclusive. Though his birthday was on the 15th of September, we have chosen to celebrate him today as he is such a great man to be celebrated”.

The event was not one of too many speeches,however Dr.Aniebona’s measured dance steps tells the story of a man who has done all that may become a man.It was a dance of victory, success and deep satisfaction .His artful and studied dance steps alongside his jewel of inestimable value,spoke louder than whatever he could said on this memorable occasion.

The highlight of the evening was a “Prayer Presentation” by the Elders Council of the foremost Freight Forwarding Association. The Elders of the NAGAFF prayed God to grant the Founder,Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam,long life ,good health and wisdom to continue the good work he has been doing for humanity .

The celebration also featured cultural performances,acrobatics displays,showcasing the rich heritage of Nigeria,as guests were lavishly treated to sumptuous meals ,even as the Ogene Cultural Group of NAGAFF entertained guests as they shared fond memories and toasted to Dr. Aniebonam’s health and continued success.
