The Director – General of Nigern Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ( NIMASA) through its Executive Director on Maritime Labour and Cabotage Service, Mr. Jibril Abba, constituted an NJIC committee to start without further delay the already elapsed Dockworkers Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for the year 2023/2024.
Media Head of the Union,Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna,in a statement on Monday,29 April,2024, said the President -General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) Prince (Dr.) Adewale Adeyanju, fnli, , who was present at the meeting thanked the NIMASA DG, Dr. Dayo Mobereola for the gesture. The NJIC committee on the Dockworkers Branch of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) is expected to do a thorough work on the new CBA.
The meeting which took place on Monday, 29th April, 2024 was held at NIMASA Corporate Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.
