The Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam has expressed regret as to why he cannot attend the Customs Annual Conference and subsequent events due to the less than 24 hours receipt of invitation letter.

According to him, the legal battle at the Supreme Court of Nigeria between his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP and All Progressive Congress APC over the Governorship of Kano State has taken most of his time.

“Indeed, your efforts to reposition the Nigeria Customs Service towards sustainable and more productive revenue collection organisation is being appreciated”.
“The task ahead in a corrupt society is indeed a great challenge. But i know that with hard work and support from numbers of Stakeholders, you shall achieve your desired objective. Keep the good work going as it is my belief that God will assist you and your management team to make Nigeria great once again”. “Nigeria Customs Service and her officers are the first to be reckoned with in Nigeria”,he added.

He further said that, ” under the circumstances, a lot is desirous of the officers and men of the Service to add value to nation building and the economy in particular.

“It is my hope that after the annual conference, the CGC and his management team should take responsibility to bring about professionalism in the business of Customs administration and facilitation of International Trade”, he added.

He therefore advice the CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR to watch the avoidable rivalry between NAGAFF and ANLCA.

“You may wish to remain neutral in the associations affairs and concentrate in your statutory responsibility as the leader of the Nigeria Customs Service”.

However, he wish the CGC a successful hosting of the conference while pledging the support and cooperation of NAGAFF during his tenure, he concluded
