MWUN Congratulates New ANLCA Executives,Pledges Cooperation, Collaboration

The leadership of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju fnli HFCPSP ,has congratulated the newly elected executives of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents ( ANLCA ) whose election took place recently in Lagos.
Adeyanju expressed delight over the Successful election of the foremost Association,pledged to cooperate and collaborate with ANLCA towards improving the economy and the maritime industry.
In a press statement on Wednesday,signed by the media head of the Union,comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna,the new Executives paid a courtesy visit to the MWUN President – General and his national executives at the Union’s National Secretariat in Lagos.

Comrade Adeyanju, who is also the Deputy President of Nigeria Labour Congress received his guests with accolades, noting that the ANCLA elections have been initially marred with so many back and forth with issues bordering on factional divisions amongst others, but today all that have become history and the Association now have wonderful Executives in place.
His words,”This is to say that the recent elections have brought about what we now have and see today as new ANCLA leaders

” In this vein, I want to commend both the past and the present Executives for this latest uninterrupted election and pray this administration will usher in the much awaited peace to reign supreme in ANCLA.

” We as members of the Maritime Workers Union are happy with you, and hope to keep our doors open for mutual cooperation and for a possible collaboration which will strengthen both organisations to positively impact our nation’s economy in the maritime industry’

Responding,the leadership of ANCLA reciprocated in same gesture by saying that the newly elected leadership will assure that both bodies will synergise together in order to achieve one common goal of growing the country’s economy through all the seaports. The leadership of ANCLA also described Comrade Adeyanju as a man of peace, whose leadership acumen in the sector cannot be over-emphasised; hence, the visit to the Maritime Workers Union was very paramount to the new leadership of ANCLA.

Prince Adeyanju who was full of praise for both losers and winners of the just concluded ANCLA elections said,” There’s need to carry everyone along in the scheme of things ,in the spirit of sportsmanship ,where there was no loser, no winner . “Therefore, all hands must be on deck for a better administration of the Association.

The numero uno of the Maritime Labour Industry admonished the new leadership to work in one direction of purpose, and promised to reciprocate the visit in earnest.
