The atmosphere was charged with joy and spiritual fervor as members of Christ In Me International Church gathered for their annual Thanksgiving service. The highlight of the event was a powerful sermon delivered by a visiting Pastor, Pastor prophet Nwabueze Dozie, who focused on the profound “Benefits of Thanksgiving,” urging the congregation to embrace gratitude as a lifestyle.
The Gateway to High Place
Pastor Dozie began his message by asserting that thanksgiving is not merely an optional religious ritual, but a covenant requirement and the gateway to a higher destiny in Christ. He referenced several scriptures to underscore his points, emphasizing that an attitude of gratitude positions believers for continuous divine intervention and progress.
”Thanksgiving,” Pastor Dozie declared, “is God’s wisdom for the continuous change of level in life. When you thank Him for what is good, He makes it better, best, great, and perfect! It is the key to moving from one level of glory to another.”
The sermon outlined several tangible benefits of cultivating a thankful heart, which resonate with the experiences of believers across generations:
Access to God’s Presence: Citing Psalm 100:4, the Pastor stressed that thanksgiving is the legal way to enter God’s gates and courts.
“Until you enter His presence, you have no audience for your requests,” he explained.

Preservation and Multiplication of Blessings: Pastor Dozie highlighted that a lack of appreciation can cause blessings to diminish. He reminded the church that just as the one leper who returned to thank Jesus was made whole (Luke 17:17-19), gratitude preserves, multiplies, and perfects the blessings already received.
Thanksgiving according to the guest pastor keeps faith strong, particularly in challenging times. The Pastor noted that people like Abraham and Daniel maintained their faith and secured their destinies by choosing to thank God even when circumstances seemed bleak. “Instead of going through a challenge, choose to grow through it via thanksgiving,” he advised.
Alignment with God’s Will: Pastor Dozie emphasized that “In everything give thanks” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) is the explicit will of God. Gratitude keeps the believer aligned with divine purpose, preventing the unnecessary delays and losses that plagued the ungrateful Israelites in the wilderness.
A Lifestyle, Not Just a Service
Concluding his powerful ministration, Pastor Dozie urged the church to make thanksgiving a lifestyle rather than an annual event. He challenged the congregation to be “addicted to thanksgiving,” stating that it is a secret weapon behind the supernatural growth and testimony of the Christ In Me International Church since its inception.
The service culminated in an outpouring of praise and an atmosphere of fervent gratitude, with the church members lifting their voices in songs of worship and bringing their thanksgiving offerings. The sermon served as a timely reminder that for the Christian, gratitude is not just an emotion, but a powerful spiritual tool that unlocks divine favor and secures a glorious destiny.
In his short remarks ,the General Overseer of the Church, prophet Michael Ogologondu, expressed profound gratitude to God for sparing the lives of his members throughout the year, and giving them the grace to come to God’s presence to appreciate Him.
The” PROVOVO” as he is widely called by his members ,as a result of his accurate prophecies and with solutions, reiterated that God has been faithful to the Church as it has never in its over Ten years of existence buried any of its committed members. He prayed that the covenant of long life he made with God concerning his members will continue in the coming year 2026,and beyond.
The high point of the ceremony ,was the raising of funds for the ongoing building of the new Church Cathedrali
