Comptroller James Ojo, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Ogun I Area Command, Nigeria Customs Service, recently embarked on a significant courtesy visit to key stakeholders in Ogun State.
His strategic engagements aimed to foster collaboration, enhance economic growth, and bolster security along Nigeria’s borders with the Republic of Benin.


In a press statement today,by the Public Relations officer of the command,Chief Superintendent of Customs,Hammed Oloyede,noted that Comptroller Ojo met with the Alake of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo CFR, and other revered traditional rulers. Expressing deep appreciation for their support, he emphasized the crucial role these leaders play in maintaining peace and security within their communities.


Leveraging their influence and insights, Comptroller Ojo discussed ways to enhance border security and combat smuggling effectively.
The Ogun 1 Area Comptroller engaged in fruitful discussions with sister security agencies in Ogun State. These interactions underscored the need for continuous collaboration to address challenges posed by smuggling and cross-border crimes.


By sharing intelligence, resources, and expertise, the Nigeria Customs Service and other agencies can create a formidable front against those undermining Nigeria’s economic stability and national security.


The courtesy visit aligns with the policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR,emphasizing consolidation, collaboration, and innovation. Comptroller Ojo reiterated the commitment of the Ogun I Area Command to these principles, recognizing their importance in fostering a secure and prosperous environment for the people of Ogun State and Nigeria.
