The President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders( NAGAFF),has inaugurated an 33 man planning committee saddled with the responsibility of organising a befffitting 25 years anniversary even and raising of 500 million fund for the Acquisition of a befffitting permanent secretariat for the Association.
Speaking in an interview with the press shortly after the historic inauguration of the planning committee, president of the Association,High Chief Tochhukwu Ezisi said that what they had done today was to inaugurate silver jubilee planning committee.
According to the President,”The job of the committee is to plan the silver jubilee of 25 years existence of NAGAFF ,and we will be having launching of National Secretariat to the tune of 500 million.”

He said that it is the duty of the committee to find a way to raise the money for thea acquisition of a permanent Secretariat for NAGAFF.
On where the location of the permanent Secretariat would be located ,Chief Ezisi said,”it is the duty of the committee to come up with their plans and we look at it and approve”, adding that 25 years is not 25 days.
On how they intend to meet this 500 million Naira target ,the president said he is confident that they will meet the target or even surpass it, stressing that NAGAFF has what it takes to achieve it.
He said he is very optimistic that he will achieve his objective of raising a befitting Secretariat for NAGAFF ,in accordance with his promise on assumption of office.However he noted that government is a continuos project ,adding that where ever he stops the new president will take over from there.

Speaking on an interview also ,Chief Afam chukwuma, deputy National president,sea port,and Chairman of the Anniversary planning committee said a committee has been set up today for 25 years anniversary for NAGAFF.We have a task ahead of us,and we are here to do justice to It.He said the 25 years anniversary will hold on the 26 of November,2024, in Lagos ,which will culminate into 500 million Naira fund raising for a befffitting permanent Secretariat for the Association.
“Our mandate are two folds:one is to organise a befffitting event at 25 ,and the other is to raise enough fund, 500 million to secure for NAGAFF a befffitting permanent secretariat ,equipped,fully built and functional” chief Afam assired.

Even though every body is complaining about the down turn in the economy ,well like I said earlier,when times are tough ,those who are tougher wil get things moving,and we know that NAGAFF is tougher .And in the Maritime sector,we have deep relationships with big players and we believe that many of them will come to support us at this time we need to get our permanent secretariat.We are not deterred by the rhythm of the economy , because we believe strongly that this can be achieved by our efforts ,by our relationship,by what we have built over the years and by the grace of God.

On the location of the proposed permanent secretariat,Chief Afam said that they have located a few places and have even made commitment for the place and are waiting to get today’s event done so that they can take it from there.He said the owners of the place are waiting for them to pay the balance for the place.

On the event of they not being able to meet up with the 500 million Naira target,the planning committee chairman expressed confident that they will surly meet and even surpass the amount.
Engineer umeadi Emmanuel,chairman of NAGAFF,noted that NAGAFF is a big organisation and very much deserved to have a befffitting permanent Secretariat,and by “God’s grace we will achieve that” Engr.Umeadi said..
On his part chairman, NAGAFF,Onne port Chapter,Hon.Ike Okechukwu Anselem, expressed confidence that NAGAFF being a prominent player in the maritime space highly deserved to have a befffitting permanent Secretariat,and,” today the road to achieving that had been enabled.And we believe we are going to achieve it” Hon.Anselem affirmed.
