The Nigerian Ports consultative Council ( NPCC), has concluded plans to elect a new Chairman to fill the void left by the Death of its former chairman, Chief Otunba Kunle Folarin, who passed on two years ago.
According to the Secretary to the Council, Mr.Patrick Ezedinmbu, the quarterly meeting event which will hold on 25 January, 2024, to usher in a new Chairman for the Council ,at the prestigious Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island Lagos , at 10 am , will have the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola,in attendance.

Recall that the Council lost its Chairman two years ago , exactly on the 8 of November, 2022 and ever since, the Council had been without a chairman.
The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council, is the voice for the voiceless. The Council operates on four cardinal points or functions: advocacy, consultation, Arbitration and Advisory. NPCC is as old as the port.
For better management and operational efficiency, the NPCC,has four standing committees : Port operations and Security, port and event committee; Finance and general purpose committ and port legal committee.
The PCC has over the years, grown to become an invaluable partner to not only the Nigerian Ports Authority in the determination of the federal government to position Nigerian ports as the hub in the sub-region, but also to the entire maritime value chain.
It is hoped therefore, that the election of a new Chairman of NPCC ,would usher in a new Council,a new approach , a new method ,and a new dawn.
