President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been hailed for his determination to create wealth, and improve the Living conditions of Nigerians ,by laying the foundation for youth Entrepreneurial growth and empowerment.
A former House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, Hon ( chief) Obilo Ogbonna, Chief Executive Officer, Mercury Xpress,an energy engineering logistics company, and one of the recipients of the Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria, distinguished Fellowship Award ,conferred on him by the Institute,on Saturday,25,November,2023,at the Institute’s office ,in Lagos ,stated this in an interview with Premium News Daily, shortly after the conferment ceremony.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain noted that the government of Bola Ahmed Tinunbu is desirous to address the mounting unemployment rate in the country ,by creating an enabling environment particularly for the youths to embrace entrepreneurship as sustainable solution to reducing the menace.
His words, ,” If you look at the current appointments that have been made, from SMEDAN to youth engagements to ministers that are of a very young age, it tells you that Mr. President has begun to look at the generation that is coming as a panacea in creating needed jobs, focused at the young people who will take over from the generation at their peak at this point. So I’m sure nobody can ever tell you that initiatives are enough. We will continue to improve and continue to scale things that are being done at the moment to see that more is achieved over time”.

Asked how Nigeria can come out its present high inflation,Ogbonna said,” Job creation, skill acquisition, in one breath. It is to entirely continue to encourage the young people. Of course, our population will continue to grow. I know as of 2006, population growth was I think about 1.5% per annum. It only tells us that we need to put in more effort in creating, enabling environments for people to begin to take up jobs outside government engagement, to create more jobs for other people to come in”.
Chief Ogbonna affirmed that the distinguished Fellowship Award conferred on him by the Institute,is a call to service.
” The Award is a testament to the growth we expect to begin to see in Nigeria. And there I see that the ecosystem that the current government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinunbu, or Progressive Congress, is about to usher into our nationhood. And I pray that this is the beginning of great things to happen in the near future” he said

Chief Obilo Ogbonna, receiving the award from Mr Basil Opara, immediate past director CRFFN Regulations and enforcement. Now board advisor, institute of Strategic enterpreneurs of Nigeria.

” It is a call to service” he noted, adding that,” I’ve been an entrepreneur myself, and like I said, it’s a call to service. It only underpins the amount of work that we need to further engage in the environment, in the industry, to ensure that we become self-sustainable in the near future”.
