SEEDS 2024: Aniebonam Enumerates Gains Of Entrepreneurship, Urges Students, Others, To Embrace It.

Students of maritime studies, investors and entrepreneurs have been urged to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit embedded in the Student’s Entrepreneurial, Empowerment and Development Seminar (SEEDS) of Richwood Communications and Media Services to enhance their future career and realize their potentials in the maritime sector.

Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Founder, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) made this call in Lagos, December 12, while addressing the just-concluded SEEDS 2024 conference which held
at the Certified Institute of Shipping Nigeria (CISN) Complex,
Magbon, Badagry, Lagos.

Dr Aniebonam who doubles as the founder of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) also advised Nigerian youths to embrace education in order to enhance their knowledge, capacity and ability to reap from the numerous opportunities the maritime sector offers as a critical subsector of the national economy.

Speaking through Mrs Ruth Sunday,
the Assistant Public Relations Officer of NAGAFF, Aniebonam counselled students to tap into and learn lessons from the dreams of the Season 2 of the SEEDS 2024 which had the theme ‘Entrepreneurship, Career Building and Skill Acquisition in A Conducive and Well Regulated Maritime Environment’ to properly position themselves to build and enhance their personal potentials.

“There is need for you as maritime students to remain focused and not be distracted in pursuit of your career in maritime-related areas of your concern,” he advised. Students, he explained, should take their studies seriously while making wise decisions in their academic pursuits.

Adding a personal voice, Mrs Ruth Sunday harped on the importance of education. She said : “I want to let you know that my Founder (Dr. Aniebonam) is passionate about education. In fact, he talks about education, education, education, because he knows the importance of education.”

“Education does not have age limits. Education is something you continue to do until you get into the grave. And it leads us to develop ourselves. We are talking about entrepreneurship. It is all about education.”

“Because you have education, you have to thrive despite your discipline. That is the situation in our world of today.”

“Everybody is talking about entrepreneurship and skill acquisition. Even as this seminar is going on, I have expected you to begin to think of those areas of interest you can develop on.

“That is why we are talking about diversification. I expect the Rector of the Institute (CISN) and the management to sometimes take the students out on excursion because what you are doing here is theory. I once did a similar programme; it was all theory.

“But what you are going to see out there is practical and a different thing entirely.
So, dear students, you have to be ready to face the situation, take the challenge to face the society, to face your future.”
